Burj Khalifa & Downtown Dubai
The headline show. Free first-come viewing along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, or paid areas such as Burj Park. Downtown fills up and closes to traffic from the afternoon, so staying in Downtown is the easiest way to see it.
Dubai Marina, JBR & Bluewaters
Last year there were fireworks at Bluewaters / The Beach JBR, and you can see displays along the coast from Marina and JBR towers and the beach.

Go early. Last year Burj Park gates opened at noon, residents were asked to arrive by 2pm, roads in Downtown started closing from about 3–4pm and Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro station closed to entry from 5pm. Staying in Downtown avoids the closures.
