The verified festival dates do not make every shopping district or activation relevant on every day. Use the current official programme to identify confirmed activities, then choose an accommodation base that balances those locations with the rest of the trip. This guide deliberately avoids a misleading single event marker.
Dubai Mall, central attractions and New Year period
Downtown is useful when Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and central-city plans dominate. It is not automatically closest to activities elsewhere in Dubai, so check each confirmed location before booking.
